Janine A.S. Thomas.Janine’s practice focuses exclusively on estate planning and estate administration and related tax issues. Her legal background includes over 20 years of experience working with distinguished law firms in both Vancouver and Toronto and providing advice and representation to some of Canada’s leading families, business owners, and charitable organizations. Janine has also served on boards and planned giving committees for a variety of charities including BCIT, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the Kaiser Foundation. Janine’s extensive business law background gives her unique insight into the challenges facing business owners and their advisors. In addition, she has spent time working with an international insurance company dealing with the structure and application of insurance products, particularly in the areas of estates, committeeships and business succession planning. She is also a trained as a mediator. Each of these elements adds value to clients who have been coming to use her personalized services since she opened her own firm in 2003. |

Catherine Evans.At the end of 2010, Catherine became an associate of the Janine A.S. Thomas Law Corporation. Like Janine, her practice is focused on estate planning, estate administration and related issues. Catherine has a BA from Dalhousie University, M. Div. from U of T, and LLB from York University. In addition, she has pursued graduate studies in Dispute Resolution at Radcliffe University through the Harvard Program on Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution studies at the Justice Institute of BC. |

Alexandra Lyde-Stad, Paralegal.Janine works with corporate paralegal Alexandra (Alli) Lyde-Stad.
